Corporate Relations Manager
Noir Events is excited to be seeking a freelance Corporate Relations Manager to identify and obtain event sponsorship and sales for an upcoming event in July 2019.
This role will focus on building and maintaining relationships predominantly within the tourism industry, the NZ tech industries, and other creative sponsorship revenue streams related to each event. The person will also focus on developing relationships with companies and individuals seeking new and innovative ways of promoting themselves to the public, in order to attract them to sponsorship roles.
The event will be a free to attend event and will require alternate forms of revenue to sustain itself and develop the event further into the future.
You will be coming on board from the initial concept stage, working alongside the team to assist in developing the event from a sponsorship engagement perspective.
From here you will go on to create the sponsorship prospectus in line with the core values of the event and company, and use it to identify and secure relationships with relevant sponsors.
During the event you will maintain the relationships with partners and work with the events team to ensure that all contracts are fulfilled. Maintaining relationships with key partners into the future is vital for the development of the event.
This is a freelance role with flexible working hours. The role will be per annum, with the opportunity for the right candidate to work on other events with the company.
Minimum Experience : A minimum of 3 years experience within a relevant industry is required.
Prefered Experience: A background within a similar role of managing the sponsorship/partnerships for events is prefered. Alternatively, experience within sales or such in the tourism industry within Auckland or New Zealand.
Minimum Education: You must be literate and have a good command of written and spoken English. You must be numerate.
Prefered Education: Tertiary level education within Sales, Marketing, or similar is prefered.
Confident ability to use G Suite
Impeccable time keeping
Keen eye for detail, ensuring that records are well maintained, and contracts are thorough and decisive
High level of negotiation skills
Ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships with key senior partners
Commercially savvy with strong business acumen
