Support and funding for local events

Do you want to run a community event in the Albert-Eden local board area* in the next six months? Would some structured upskilling and funding help with that? If so, there is a new programme from the Albert-Eden Local Board that might just be what you are looking for.

The Albert-Eden events broker programme can provide:

  • funding for events

  • upskilling workshops and mentoring topics such as event funding, event management, health and safety, and other aspects of running an event

  • connections with other individuals and organisations

To be considered for this programme, events must:

  • be non-commercial in nature

  • have a community focus of some description

  • have someone who is willing to attend the accompanying workshop and mentoring programme

  • happen before 1 July 2019 in the Albert-Eden local board area

  • not be primarily a fundraising event (e.g. a school fair)

The event may be an existing one, or one that is in the planning stage but has not yet happened.

Applications close at 5pm on February 11th, so don’t miss out!

If you do not have an event ready to go, but would like to be a part of the workshop and mentoring programme, please contact Bronwyn (details below.)

If you would like to know more, contact us:

*area covers: Mt. Albert, Point Chevalier, Waterview, Owairaka, Sandringham, Morningside, Kingsland, Balmoral, Mount Eden, Epsom and Greenlane.
