The Big Idea is NZ’s online arts hub. We provide daily stories, the latest jobs and opportunities, events as well as ideas and inspiration from across the creative industries to help individuals and organisations create their own success.
We are looking for a creative who can:
Persuade: Write articles promoting our customer’s listings (e.g. scholarships, residencies, jobs, events)
Manage relationships: Create and maintain relationships with our customers
Source and sell: Market sponsored content packages, banner ads and job/event listings
Be creative: Come up with new ideas for articles, sales pitches and packages
A love of the arts, creativity and culture would be of high interest as our clients are all in the arts biz.
You will be a hustler, you’ll love meeting new people, and you’ll have a proven sales record. You will need to be efficient and fast within the hours you have but you will be rewarded for this.
This role is ideal for someone wanting to work part-time hours i.e. 10 - 20 hours per week. The benefits of this role are aplenty! You can work from home, decide your own hours, and earn a commission as well as an hourly rate. We are a tight-knit team working remotely from across Aotearoa, using online tools to work together.
You will be given training on the following: Drupal, Double Click for Publishers, Google mail and Docs, Zoom, MailChimp, Sprout Social.
You must be willing to travel to Auckland to attend meetings.
