Public Programmes Coordinator
You will have experience with events, workshops, talks and activation development across a variety of communities, excellent project management skills, be open to new ways of thinking and have a deep commitment to biculturalism.
With oversight from the Communications and Relationships Manager and the support of the Curatorial, Education and Front of House team you will develop and deliver a dynamic, fun and well-defined programme that engages and expands audiences.
This role will work across the three venues managed by the HCC museums team - The Dowse Art Museum, Petone Settlers Museum Te Whare Whakaaro o Pito-one and the Little Theatre.
This is a well-rounded role, in which you will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering public programmes
- Ensuring these programmes are well promoted
- Reflecting on and evaluating public programmes to ensure we consistently improve our offering to audiences.
Knowledge of contemporary arts and social history would be an advantage. Evening and weekend work is a regular and essential part of this role, so flexibility is a must.
