He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Auckland Stadiums is a division of Regional Facilities Auckland and is responsible for transforming the region's stadiums' landscape to deliver sustainable, world-class events and fit-for-purpose facilities.

This role calls for an experienced Event Coordinator to join our busy organisation. Reporting to the Event Manager, you will work across a variety of events including some high-profile events, assisting with the event and venue planning process and provide administrative support to the Event Delivery Team.

In this role you will engage with clients, offering expertise from the beginning of the event planning phase to coordinate requested event management plans, right through to on the day delivery, as well as problem-solving along the way when needed.

You'll work to develop an understanding of our clients' requirements and work closely with internal teams including the security, property services, suppliers and service contractors to deliver high-quality events. You'll also ensure that health and safety issues are logged appropriately and all relevant stakeholder and client parties are debriefed to ensure high-quality events and maximum client satisfaction.

You'll be proactive and someone who can hit the ground running and contribute from day one. You will be a skilled multi-tasker, confident and have the ability to easily build rapport with internal and external customers.  

Ideally, you'll have experience in event management/coordination, with a qualification in event management or equivalent being a bonus.  You will have strong networking skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with both clients and suppliers.

We have two positions available. One is a permanent position and the other is a fixed-term until mid-October 2019.  Both roles are 40 hours per week, across 7 days. Flexibility will be required to work events during nights and weekends.
