Box Office Coordinator (30 hours per week)
The Box Office Coordinator oversees ticket sales for events at The PumpHouse Theatre. You’ll work with producers to understand their event and make sure our ticketing services are effective and meets their needs.
You’ll mentor our casual box office team, making sure they know how everything works, and you’ll support the Business Manager and Community Engagement Coordinator to implement our marketing plan.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for theatre with heaps of customer service experience who can be the friendly, welcoming face of The PumpHouse when customers visit.
To be successful your CV will show that you have solid customer service experience, strong people skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
Knowledge of social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and understanding how each one works to engage with audience segments is helpful and some experience operating a box office or ticketing events would make your application a standout. Marketing knowledge is a plus – but this isn’t a marketing role.
Our ideal candidate will be positive, energetic, and able to work well unsupervised – and it goes without saying that you’ll be an expert at keeping many balls in the air at once.
Experience or skills using WordPress, Mailchimp, Photoshop and with photography would all be a help, so mention those if you’ve got them.
