Taitara Mahi - Marketing Manager
We are looking for a Marketing Manager who will provide skilled support, known for their attention to quality and ability to deliver, you will be an important part of the Hawke’s Bay Opera House Arts & Events Precinct team.
This role is part of the Community Facilities & Programmes Group. The Group includes Libraries, Community Centres, Sports Centre, Aquatics Hastings, Hastings District Cemeteries & Crematorium, Social & Youth Development, Hawke’s Bay Opera House, Hastings City Art Gallery and Senior Housing.
The purpose of the Marketing Manager role is liaising and building relationships with promoters, events manager, ticketing suppliers and Hawke’s Bay Opera House staff to ensure all events are marketed accurately and effectively. You will also co-ordinate and deliver the organisation’s marketing plan and digital strategy working closely with HDC Communications.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the ticketing staff to ensure a high level of customer experience and will liaise with the Presenter Services Community Manager in delivering the Audience Development strategy.
The successful candidate will have:
A recognised industry qualification or 3 years working in the marketing industry or equivalent experience working in a marketing arts role that has managed staff
Experience developing and leading high quality marketing and communications plans
Experience in working with CRM (Ungerboeck) and ticketing systems (Ticketek)
Experience in a service-focussed organisation
Media and issues management understanding
Good digital and social media understanding
An understanding of tikanga Māori
Experience in marketing and audience development activities in performing arts
Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of flexibility in an environment which can have periods of demanding workloads and time constraints
Proven ability to plan, organise, and set objectives and priorities
