MIX is a community based activity centre for people with mental health needs.

We support the recovery process for people with mental health needs in a supportive, safe, non-threatening facilities, offering pursuits that enrich and empower people’s lives. MIX runs wellbeing, community and arts programmes to support mental health recovery.

Arts Project Officer

Firstly, you will be filling in for our Art Coordinator. This will be around 31 hours a week. The length of this role will be around 3 months. 

Secondly, you will be leading our art project with the aim to increase the number of sales our artists have via online stores, social media, markets and through art rentals. This will be done over one day a week. The length of this role is until December 2019.

For this duel-role, you will need to be:

  • Well-organised to plan for the MIX art programme alongside the art sales project
  • Knowledgeable about online art sales, e.g. Facebook, Etsy, Felt, Instagram etc.
  • Comfortable with learning and working quickly
  • Passionate about and able to communicate with a broad range of people, including those who may be vulnerable, struggling in their lives, or with minimum literacy.​
