Visitor Host - Waikato Museum

Waikato Museum aims to be the best regional museum in New Zealand and is looking for the right person to take on a part time role in our Visitor Services Team.
The Museum Visitor Host role will include front of house duties such as retail assistance, security, selling admission, giving information and guidance to our visitors, and assisting with public programmes. A knowledge of te reo Maaori and tikanga would be an advantage, as well the ability to interact with and understand the needs of people from different countries and cultures.
We need someone who can transfer their existing customer and visitor service experience and skills to the cultural and artistic environment, working across the museum and ArtsPost.
You’ll also have excellent computer literacy skills, and will be available to work set days each week.
We're looking for someone who can work 35.5 hours every week (rostered Wednesday - Sunday), with the opportunity to work additional hours through working venue hires and exhibition openings. The recruiting range for this role starts at $41,600 Grade seven per annum (pro rata).
