PR Assistant needed for Impact documentary distribution
We are looking for a PR superstar to work with us on impact distribution of our short film.
Ending Violence is a short impact documentary about the urgent need for a change in the global education system. We explore how teaching children as young as three years old social and emotional skills could be the key to creating a more peaceful future generation free-er of discrimination and violence. We are now excited to be entering into the distribution phase. Along side a film festival strategy we are also working to make a positive tangible impact in society with this film.
What we are looking for:
Someone interested in PR/ Media Relations/ Publicity for films, especially documentary and impact films
In-depth knowledge of PR and marketing process and best practices
Passionate about social change, Mental health, education and politics.
Applicable knowledge of copywriting and editing
Experience with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook etc.)
Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Excellent attention to details

As a part of this role we are offering mentorship by Brodie Turner a creative and communications consultant with over 5 years experience in PR and communications industry.
Candlelit Pictures is an award winning production company, and a collective of millennial filmmakers that create artfully-written cine-literate moving images that play with form, and tickle the brain. Our mission is to affect an audience, give them an emotional reaction, and provoke thought and discussion.
Rose Archer(director) and Sandani Wijetunge(producer) have been making, music videos, web series and short documentaries for the past 4 years with the Candlelit pictures Collective. Ending Violence was born out of the passion both of them have for education, women's rights, and social change. It has so far been a thrilling journey that has taken them from New Zealand to the UK and Botswana. They are excited to enter in to the distribution phase of the film and create a tangible positive impact in communities globally.
