The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre is Aotearoa New Zealand's contemporary art museum and the global home of Len Lye's art and ideas. Our mission is to research, commission, present and collect exceptional art of our time with an emphasis on Aotearoa New Zealand, the Pacific, and Len Lye. We offer an integrated experience for audiences and peers through exhibition, education, mediation, outreach, and publishing, amongst other activities.
We have an exciting opportunity for a person with a collaborative outlook and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment to join the team in the role of Digital Engagement Assistant. Reporting to the Public Engagement Coordinator, the purpose of this role is to assist with the development and delivery of Govett-Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre's digital presence across multiple platforms.
Your focus will be our digital public profile, ensuring an active and engaging online presence across platforms. Your BAU will span from administrative tasks, monitoring online posts, to creating exciting content for online posts deriving from the programs and commercial offerings. You will be an accomplished communicator with sound interpersonal skills and a professional warm approach, showcasing your ability to form strong relationships with a diverse range of people.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in supporting the development and delivery of dynamic online content. Experience working in an art or cultural institution would be an advantage. Most importantly, you will be a team player with excellent organisational skills and a strong capability in research, writing and administrative duties.

You can expect to start in this permanent part-time role with us between $49,268 and $53,552 pro-rata.
