With the generous support of Connells Bay Sculpture Trust, Te Tuhi is offering one year of free studio accommodation for a recent Masters level graduate artist.

For 2020, the selected artist will receive:

  • 24-hour access to a 10m2 space within a studio shared with 3 other artists located in the heart of Parnell, with easy access via public transport
  • Mentoring from Te Tuhi staff including the Artistic Director, Exhibitions Manager and other arts professionals
  • The opportunity to submit a proposal for the use of the test space located onsite.

Te Tuhi Studios at Cheshire St. is located within the station building at Parnell Train Station in Auckland. Through the studios and gallery, Te Tuhi aims to support contemporary artists who have an interest in experimental and social practices by providing an environment in which artists can develop their practices and expand their networks.

The selected artist is not required to make an object or exhibition but they will receive curator feedback and up to half a day technical support if required. They will be expected to present at least one talk about their practice and participate in two open studio events during the year.
