Due to an internal promotion this position has become available for the right person.

We are looking for an experienced manager to take over the position of Orchestra Manager at Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO), New Zealand’s professional city-based orchestra.

The Orchestra Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of the orchestra in all APO events throughout the year.

The role works closely alongside the Director of Operations, the Director of Artistic Planning, APO Music Director, APO musicians and many APO staff members.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong knowledge of orchestral music, be a strong communicator and have advanced administration skills. You will also need to have the ability to work well both autonomously and within a team.

The ability to remain level-headed under pressure and a passion for your work is essential.
