Are you an experienced social media content creator wanting a role that is embedded in a highly creative environment?

The College of Creative Arts at Massey University is looking for an extraordinary digital content creator for social media. Someone who likes discovering and promoting unique and interesting stories about our students, research and all the great work that the college does. You'll lead the social media activity for the College while working with some of the country's most creative brains to deliver a high quality and exciting experience.

This role incorporates first and foremost social media channel management, and of equally high importance you will create original digital content which will involve filming and editing videos, photography and use of the Adobe Creative Suite to creative visually engaging content.

Alongside social media management, you will be across data analytics and provide campaign support. You will be happy and willing to pick up and run with other social media and marketing opportunities as they arise.

You will have at ideally five years experience developing digital content and managing social media channels, and you will be able to demonstrate a range of work where you've tried new things, been innovative and creative, taken risks and got the results. We want someone who has a high level of aptitude with video filming and editing, is an awesome photographer and can work your magic on Photoshop and Illustrator. It's not a role for the faint-hearted as demands come thick and fast and you'll be managing multiple channels. You'll be a social media expert, a producer of content, a people person, super organised and able to multi-task. You'll be at the forefront of social media and digital trends.

You will be an experienced social media professional, highly motivated, a self-starter with initiative and have a passion for the visually engaging. You can work quickly and under many demands, love attending events, can connect with all different types of people, able to work both independently and within a team. It's important that you have an interest in art, design, music, film and the creative arts.

To be successful in this role you'll need to be technically adept not only in social media but in the creation of high quality video content in particular. You also need to be up to date with digital content creation and distribution techniques, be analytical and pro-active.

We strongly value Māori, Pacific and international student success and the stories and content you create will showcase the amazing talents of these students, so cultural sensitivity is a must. You'll be working in a small Marketing team but have access to many layers of skill, knowledge and support throughout the university. You will also work in collaboration with the Wellington based, Massey University social media manager.
