Hamilton City Libraries is seeking an experienced librarian to join our high performing team. As the Matihiko/Digital Delivery Librarian you will help develop and maintain our digitised Ngaa Koorero Tuku Iho – Heritage and Archives collections.

With responsibility for our Vernon collection management system and online platforms you will act as gatekeeper of our online collections. This is your opportunity to bring your knowledge and expertise to help shape our approach to our digitised collections, while ensuring our digital practices follow industry best standards.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact in the changing libraries environment. As the Matihiko/Digital Delivery Librarian you will have the opportunity to bring to life and facilitate access to the rich digital material of Hamilton City Libraries.

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • A proactive, outgoing person with a can-do attitude and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experienced in working with a collection management system, either in a library or related environment.
  • Interested in social media and the impact this can have in engaging with an audience.
  • Digitally literate and familiar with using library databases and search tools to logically gather, organise and analyse information quickly.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.

The recruiting range for this role starts at $49,758.00 - 58,539.00 per annum pro rata and could be negotiated for the right candidate.
