The NZ Music Commission Te Reo Reka O Aotearoa is looking for a new Administration Assistant to join the team.
This is a full-time junior position, based in central Auckland. The role includes responsibility for:
- Telephone and reception duties
- General office functions - mail, couriers, stationery etc
- Filing, coding and maintaining records
- Updating the website
- Building online newsletters, forms and updating playlists
- Maintenance of contact databases
- Assisting with projects and programmes
- Providing general business and administrative support for staff in the office.
Excellent knowledge of local music and an interest in the music industry is essential.
The Music Commission is looking for someone with great attention to detail and accuracy, who is motivated and possesses the ability to work unsupervised. They will have good time management and task completion skills. It is crucial they enjoy working with a wide range of people and are highly reliable.
Useful skills for applicants to have would include experience with the use of Microsoft Office Suite for Mac, updating website content, using newsletter programmes, minute taking, the ability to work autonomously and great communication skills. Own transportation would be advantageous.
