Group Reporting and Compliance Analyst



The finance department is responsible for delivering an integrated, sustainable, and high-quality accounting and reporting services to Company and to our productions. The Group Reporting and Compliance Analyst is a technical expert responsible for providing accurate, timely and regular reporting to Senior Management and the Board ensuring that business, financial and operational compliance is maintained across all the Company entities and its productions. The Group Reporting and Compliance Analyst is responsible for closely monitoring and regularly reporting to Senior Management and the Board on business, financial and operational risks across the Company and its productions. 


  •  Financial management, planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Compliance and risk strategy for the Company and its productions.
  • Technical accounting support to the business as required.
  • Manage the external reporting requirements including statutory, financial, investors and tax.
  • Other duties as required.


  •  Group Budgets and Reporting.
  • Group cashflow and treasury management.
  • Statutory Reporting, technical reporting and IFRS compliance.
  • Intercompany accounting and eliminations.
  • Group tax and compliance.
  • Assist in reviewing entity structures and their interaction within the group’s investment policies.
  • Group and show KPI reporting.


  • Assist in preparing the Company’s budgeting and forecasting processes, including administration and review of all financial plans and budgets, including those of all productions, concerts & events.
  • Monitor budgetary progress, assess risks and opportunities and keep the Head of Finance and relevant staff abreast of the Company’s financial status and that of its productions, concerts, event and other Company activities.
  • Contribute and drive the relevant levels of financial reporting, including regular budget reviews, forecasts, annual statements, and any ad hoc reports as required by and for presentation.
  • Develop and implement weekly dashboard reporting for the company and its productions.
  • Coordinate and prepare a weekly Flash Cashflow update.
  • Preparation of monthly group consolidated profit and loss and balance sheet and prepare variance analysis on divisional performance
  • Preparation of Board Reporting addressing financial statements, cashflow and operational forecasting and compliance reporting. 
  • Manage Group Treasury, cashflow and adjustments.
  • Review monthly group inter-company reconciliations/eliminations.
  • Business partnering with the accounting teams to ensure reports and forecasts are submitted on a timely manner.
  • Monitor budgetary progress, change, risks, and opportunities and keep the CEO/Head of Finance and relevant staff abreast of the Company’s financial status and that of its productions and activities.
  • Lead the audit process including the preparation of draft accounts. 
  • Provide technical advice on all taxation matters in all jurisdictions and prepare draft taxation calculations as part of the audit workstreams.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise ensuring external and internal audit arrangements are correctly in place and recommendations are implemented.
  • Coordinate and prepare compliance and financial reports for the CEO and Senior Management consistent with the requirements established by the Board.
  • Work with Head of Finance to develop, evaluate and execute strategy for new business initiatives (i.e. productions and new business ventures) and opportunities for improvement,
  • Identify areas for process improvement/simplification and implement solutions.

  • CA/CPA qualified.
  • Member of the Institute of Public Accountants, CPA Australia, or the Chartered Accountants of Australia & New Zealand
  • A minimum 2 years Post Qualification  experience in Budgeting, Internal Management Reporting and  Financial Risk Compliance & Risk.
  • A strong understanding of Australian and International Business, Operational and Financial Regulatory Systems, Financial Controls, IFRS reporting and obligations.
  • Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and reports
  • A proven high level of interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Extensive Excel capabilities with proven ability to develop complex financial spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of work accurately and efficiently in a deadline driven environment.
  • Experience using Xero software desirable.
