Are you looking for an exciting PR role in the arts?

We are looking for passionate, experienced communications professional with a love of the arts to join the team at Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) and lead the communications strategy for the organisation.

The Communications Manager plays an important role in proactively managing the profile of the APO and showcasing the events, activities and people of the orchestra. With over 70 concerts and events each year the APO is a busy, vibrant and rewarding place to work.

The successful candidate should be a great communicator with a proactive attitude and proven track record in media relations. The purpose of the role is to maximise opportunities to drive awareness of the APO and engagement with key audiences and stakeholders. Experience of events, a strong understanding and ability in social media and a passion for the performing arts is desirable.

2020 post-Covid looks a little different for most organisations. APO is looking for someone who will thrive on the exciting challenges and opportunities that this “new world” offers. There has never been a better time to join Auckland’s largest performing arts organisation and use your expertise and ideas to promote the APO and share our love of music with the whole community.
