Marketing & Audience Development Manager / Kaiwhakahaere Whakatairanga, Whakapoapoa Apataki
We are searching for an outstanding Marketing Manager to drive the marketing and audience development activities for Auckland Arts Festival.
Auckland Arts Festival/ Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki Makaurau is a globally recognised celebration of art and culture taking place each March in New Zealand’s largest city. Presented annually, the 18-day event celebrates people and culture, and showcases the cultural diversity and vibrant energy of Auckland.
As Marketing & Audience Development Manager, you will develop and implement the appropriate strategy to engage with a growing and diverse audience. Working closely with the Communications Manager (yet to be appointed) and reporting to the Chief Executive, you will oversee the compilation of all content for the Festival collateral, manage the online communications, CRM and website presence. You’ll have a minimum of 5 years experience in arts marketing including knowledge of the arts sector, as well as a high level of practical digital marketing and social media skills. As the role includes management of marketing staff, excellent relationship skills and proven staff management experience are required combined with the ability to work well in a team while under pressure in a busy festival environment.
The Marketing & Audience Development Manager role is a full-time position, fixed term for two years, commencing early September 2020.
