This is an excellent opportunity to work with Opera Queensland's award winning Learning, Regional & Community program. A dynamic and exceptionally rewarding department within the organisation, the role includes taking professional opera productions to diverse and remote communities across the state, coordinating operatic works for and with children, creating bespoke state-wide community chorus projects, and organising school and community singing workshops. Reporting to the Director of Learning, Regional & Community, the successful candidate will be excited about creating authentic cultural experiences to audiences and communities across the state.

Key Criteria

The role provides support to the Director of Learning, Regional & Community and associated activities including (but not limited to):

  • Liaise with Learning, Regional & Community stakeholders to understand specific community needs and develop collaborative relationships;
  • Manage administration and scheduling requirements for workshops, programs and school/regional tours;
  • Prepare, distribute and collate formal Learning, Regional & Community feedback measures
  • Create resources as required;
  • Act as liaison within OQ for school touring production including scheduling, planning and invoicing, and
  • Coordinate travel requirements for Learning, Regional & Community engagements.The role provides support to the Director of Learning, Regional & Community and associated activities including (but not limited to):

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience in administrative support
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven organisation skills and ability to prioritise own workload
  • Proficiency using MS Office suite
  • Experience in the education sector and an interest in performing arts is desirable
