Mairangi Art Centre (MAC) is currently seeking a friendly and competent person to join our small team to be an Arts Facilitator on a part time basis.  This multi-faceted role is to be the first contact for MAC students, members and the general public.

They will ensure all enquiries are responded to in a timely manner thereby supporting the Centre’s goals with regards to building and maintaining positive relationships with all sectors of the wider community.

Other aspects of this role include assisting in the coordination of gallery exhibitions, facilitate term and school holiday art programmes, assist with the coordination of our team of volunteers with our Administrator and general duties to maintain and upkeep our studio and kitchen areas.

Part- Time schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday for total of 19.5 weekly hours

We are looking for someone with:

- Friendly customer service experience
- Professional, positive, and trustworthy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to connect with a broad range of people
- Adaptive and a quick learner
- Attention to detail with great organisational skills
- Experience in working within the not-for-profit and/ or volunteer sector is preferred

- A service mentality in naturally helping others

The preferred candidate will be required to undergo a police vetting procedure. Please note you must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
