Studio One Toi Tū is now accepting applications for the 2021 Creative Residency Programme, where creatives from all disciplines can spend time delivering a project at 1 Ponsonby Road.

Recipients of the residencies will receive nine months of free studio space at Studio One Toi Tū from March 2021 to November 2021, including 24-hour access to facilities to help achieve their project goals. Successful residents will also have access to resources and possible networking from professionals within their field.

Studio One Toi Tū will select between three to four residency projects to support. The residencies are open across all creative categories including fine art, creative writing, performing arts, design, object art, film and fashion - as long as there is a sound idea and goals behind the proposal. The residency will end in a final event or exhibition to be executed in the Studio One Toi Tū gallery in October 2021.

Applications close at midnight, Sunday 24 January, 2021.

How to apply

To apply, send a proposal outlining the work or project you wish to pursue throughout the residency through the website, Smarty Grants, Auckland Council's online application service. Please note all applicants must be residents of New Zealand and be living in the Auckland area during the residency period.
