Callout for Submissions for 'The Love of Botanical' - a Botanical Art Exhibition

The Botanical Art Society of New Zealand and Space Gallery, Whanganui are delighted to be collaborating in an exhibition ‘For the love of Botanical’ in May 2021 to coincide with World Day of Botanical Art on May 18th.
We wish to showcase contemporary botanical art in all its forms, and follow on from the highly successful 'Ngāi Tipu Taketake - Indigenous Flora' exhibition held in 2018.
The exhibition will run from 12th - 22nd May 2021.
OPEN TO -
New Zealand residents and all New Zealanders living abroad.
SUBJECT -
Botanically themed artworks completed after 31st December 2019.
MEDIUMS ACCEPTED -
All media, both 2D and 3D, including ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, printmaking, photography and digital works will be considered as long as the artwork is as botanically accurate as your medium will allow.
SIZE LIMITS -
There is no size limit but due to space constraints, please contact us if you intend to submit a work larger than one metre in any dimension.
SELECTION PROCESS -
This is a juried exhibition and artists are invited to submit up to 3 pieces of work for consideration.
Artworks will be juried anonymously - only title of artwork/botanical name of plants depicted/maori name (if applicable)/medium used will be shared with the jury panel.
Artist submissions via the entry form must be received by 11.59pm 7th April and late entries will not be considered.
FEES AND COMMISSIONS -
For one entry -
$25 for Full Members of the Botanical Art Society of New Zealand (BASNZ)
$35 for Associate Members of the Botanical Art Society of New Zealand (BASNZ)
$35 for non members
If you wish to submit more:
$15 for 2nd entry
$10 for 3rd entry
30% Commission will be taken on artworks sold during the exhibition.

IMAGES OF ARTWORKS
Images of your work are required.
This is an independently juried exhibition so your success will be based on the images you submit, so submit the best quality photos or scans you can.
Do not include the mat or frame in the photo if framed
You will be asked to upload all your images together at the end of the form
All images must be JPEG format
You may upload a maximum of 10 images
Individual file sizes not to exceed 5MB
Labelling uploaded images
Images must be labelled with your name/artwork name/botanical name of plant depicted/medium used
e.g An Artist/The Giant/Agathis australis /watercolour
If submitting 3D artwork, please upload at least 3 images of each peice - max 5
