Established in 1996, Toi Māori Aotearoa – Māori Arts Aotearoa promotes the broad spectrum of Māori art practice at a local, national and international level.
Toi Māori Aotearoa seeks a highly motivated and result oriented General Manager to direct and manage the organisation’s activities, strategies and programmes. The successful applicant will implement effective business strategies to achieve the desired results.
The successful candidate for this role should possess: specialist knowledge of Māori arts; command of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga; a demonstrated record of managing large-scale events; excellent communication skills; superior knowledge of business functions, budgeting and financial management; and exceptional leadership qualities.
The Toi Māori Group is governed by the Toi Māori Aotearoa Board of Trustees and comprises three entities: Toi Māori Aotearoa Charitable Trust, with its eight national Māori art committees, Toi Māori Ltd and Toi Māori Market Ltd. A small and highly-experienced team is based in Central Wellington.
