Auckland Live and Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events are the trusted leaders in performing arts, culture, entertainment, and events. With a busy time ahead, an exciting opportunity has been made available for a Producer to join our Programme Development team on a three-month fixed term contract (May - July 2021).
As custodian to some of the most iconic venues in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, we are New Zealand’s only major integrated performing arts centre, underpinned by a commercial conventions business, with a focus on presenting the best of national and international performing arts, conventions, meetings, and entertainment as well as a range of community-focused programmes that all contribute towards a culturally rich Auckland.
He kōrero mōu: About you
As a Producer within the Programme Development team, you will be at the centre of the action, working with colleagues right across Auckland Live to plan and deliver a diverse range of projects. If you are the kind of person who thrives on engaging with artists from both community and professional backgrounds, who enjoys the challenge of having multiple projects on the go and who can keep their cool under pressure, then we would love to hear from you.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivery of events and programmes through a detailed event end-to-end process.
- Contributing to the marketing, audience development and publicity requirements of projects and events.
- Developing and managing project budgets.
We are looking for a highly energetic, highly organised self-starter who is passionate about turning ideas into reality and is a positive team player. The successful applicant will have strong knowledge of the creative sector within Aotearoa New Zealand, and experience in producing theatre projects is highly desirable.
