Come and spur on creative curiosity at Auckland Arts Festival. We are on the look-out for a stellar Programme Manager to produce and drive engagement with the Education programme for Auckland Arts Festival 2022.
Auckland Arts Festival/ Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki Makaurau is a globally recognised celebration of art and culture taking place each March in New Zealand’s largest city.
Presented annually, the 18-day event celebrates people and culture, and showcases the cultural diversity and vibrant energy of Auckland.
As Education Programme Manager, you’ll work closely with the Artistic Director and Head of Programming as part of the programming team to develop and produce schools’ performances. You’ll work with selected festival artists to deliver the education programme to education groups, teachers and students as well as co-ordinate the professional development programme to Arts practitioners in the wider professional Arts industry.
Along with a passion for innovatively connecting young people and the wider community with a vibrant and diverse festival programme, we’ll need you to be a skilled networker and salesperson, an excellent and friendly communicator and to have the ability to work well in a team while under pressure in a busy festival environment. Knowledge of contemporary performing arts (including Māori and Pacific), experience in the NZ education sector and event management are among your skillset. We encourage applicants that reflect the multicultural population of our city.
The role is a fixed-term, full-time position preferably commencing early August 2021 until 8 April 2022.
