The Albert-Eden Community Arts and Events Broker programme is a community initiative that is funded by the Albert-Eden Local Board and will tap into the existing creative community in the Albert-Eden area to support and enable a range of temporary arts activities and projects.
The programme of work developed through the projects supported by the arts broker will include delivery across the whole of the Albert-Eden Local Board area; engage with and reflect the diversity of the area; activate existing public spaces, such as streets, parks, town centres or empty shops; demonstrate partnership with other local community arts organisations and include a diverse range of art forms. It is constructed with reference to the Local Board Plans as well as the Auckland Council Arts and Culture Strategic Action Plan, Toi Whītiki. The work programme also includes a considerable commitment to supporting local creative projects through advice, support, and connection to possible resources.
