The Marketing and Communications team at Auckland Arts Festival/ Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki (AAF) seeks a key administrative support role for its 2022 season - Marketing & Communications Coordinator / Kairuruku Whakatairanga, Whakapānga.

The ideal candidate will be an organised systems pro who loves a good deadline, juggling competing priorities and can handle pressure with calm sensibility and good humour. This role is unique in its ability to span across many areas of marcomms including publications, advertising, outreach, and more, so it does require someone with strong initiative and problem-solving capability.

AAF is a globally recognised celebration of art and culture taking place each March in Aotearoa/New Zealand’s largest city. Presented annually, the 18-day event celebrates people and culture, and showcases the cultural diversity and vibrant energy of Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland.

Working most closely with the Marketing and Audience Development Manager as well as the Senior Designer and Brand Manager, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be integral to the whole operation right from the beginning of Festival planning through to delivery and wrap-up.

Excellent interpersonal and communications capabilities along with great attention to detail are inherent to the ideal candidate. Secondary skill sets that could ideally aid the role include design and/or video editing, but these are not imperative.

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator role is a full-time, fixed-term position, commencing late August/early September 2021 until April 2022.

How to apply

Please email CV and covering letter to  hr@aaf.co.nz by Wednesday 4 August 2021, 5pm. Interviews will be held w/c 9 August. Only applicants with the right to work in NZ may apply.
