Marketing Manager (Leadership Position)

Do you have marketing experience from the performing art or entertainment
industry? Does working with exceptional and artistically creative people excite

audiences and maximise revenue and attendance?

Reporting to the Marketing Director and managing a campaign team of two, 
the Marketing Manager for Auckland Theatre Company will assist
with the implementation of strategies that promote subscriber loyalty and new
audience acquisition as well as driving end to end campaigns, venue marketing
and partnership initiatives to achieve sales targets. This is a full-service,
360 campaign leadership role across digital, email, print, outdoor and Auckland
Theatre Company’s owned marketing channels. 

You possess experience and knowledge of the Auckland cultural context and will be able to
apply it to your role at ATC.

You will strategically develop and plan marketing campaigns for Auckland Theatre
Company’s productions. You will work with our agency partners to plan and
optimise paid ATL and online media spend within budget. You will support hirers
and arts partners of ASB Waterfront Theatre with their marketing and
promotions. As well as support, advise and inform artistic programming from a
sales, marketing, and audience perspective. 

This position has a specific focus on generating ticket sales,
building audiences and maximising revenue and attendance for Auckland Theatre
Company productions to budget. You’ll inspire and provide leadership to your
Marketing Executive and Designer to beautifully execute well planned campaigns
for each show. 

This is a very hands-on role and requires someone with dedication and strong communication
skills to seek collaborative opportunities, motivate internal stakeholders and
work effectively with marketing peers and agencies. You will be able to
demonstrate a strong background in writing and creative marketing skills.

This is a mid-senior position and not an internship or entry level role. Applicants will need to demonstrate at least six years of commercial marketing experience across consumer facing campaigns.
