Our Visitor Services team have an opportunity for a casual visitor assistant to join our team as the first point of contact for visitors within Parliament.
The Visitor Centre provides professional, informative and memorable visitor experiences to members of Parliament, staff in the Parliamentary complex, the general public and other visitors.
Supporting our busy team, you will provide friendly customer service, efficient administration, and problem solving for customers at the tour and reception desks, and in our call centre
This is a fast paced environment where no one day is ever the same. You will be required to think on your feet and adapt quickly to new challenges or demands that come your way.
What you will bring to the role will include the following:
- Great people skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- The ability to work well within a team
- Be physically fit and able to lift bags and other containers
- Problem solving and organisational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
The role is a casual position as required. The hours of work will be between 8.30am to 5pm. We will provide you with a uniform, full training and a friendly working environment.
Ideally you would be available to pick up additional hours during the week from time to time to cover our busy periods over the school holidays, annual leave and sick leave.
