The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
Kristin School is a co-educational, non-denominational, independent school on Auckland’s North Shore. It provides education for over 1800 students from Early Learning to Year 13, with dual pathways through NCEA and the International Baccalaureate programme.
This role is responsible for managing our Creative Studio and all related equipment to support studio learning, whether it is working with the green screen or out and around the school. This includes media shoots, editing and presenting audio visual content. The manager is required to supervise students and groups and provide professional learning and development of staff on equipment and processes. This role also supports the creation of media content for the school’s communications and marketing team.
Reporting to the Director of Business Services, the hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am-4.30pm during term time and works an additional week each term break for planning and projects.

This role requires someone who has:
- Experience as an audio-visual technician in a dynamic setting
- Knowledge of cameras and camera equipment
- Experience with relevant software for video editing and audio e.g. Adobe, iMovie, Camtasia
- Qualified to fly videography drones in designated areas
- Exceptional organisation and administrative skills
- Experience and desire to work with children and youth
- Great sense of humour
