About the role

Tuia te tangata, tuia ngā kōrero, tuia ngā taonga.
E rapu ana a Te Whare Taonga o ngā Pirihimana o Aotearoa i tētahi Kaiako Pouwhakarite matatau, hihiri anō hoki hei whakawhanake i ngā hōtaka mō āna kaimahi ki te ako i te reo Māori. Ka whāngaia ēnei hōtaka akoranga ki te nui o ngā huarahi, taumata anō hoki.
He kaiako mātau koe, e taea te whakamahi i ngā pūkenga i roto i tētahi wāhi me ōna ahurea maha. Ko te whāinga matua, ki te whakarite i ngā hōtaka akoranga reo Māori kātahi, ko te whakawhanaketanga ka rua. Anei tētahi āheinga ki te whakamahi i ōu pūkenga reo Māori, akoranga hoki i roto i tētahi o ngā whare ahurea rongonui o Aotearoa. 

The New Zealand Police Museum is looking for an experienced dynamic Kaiako Pouwhakarite who will be responsible for the development and delivery of high quality te reo Māori programmes for the kaimahi at the New Zealand Police Museum. The programmes will cater for different learning styles, needs, and levels of fluency.

You will be an experienced teacher with the ability to apply your skills within a busy cultural environment. The role requires the establishment and delivery of te reo Māori programmes as well as English language programmes. This is a unique exciting opportunity to apply your reo and teaching skills within one of Aotearoa’s most important cultural institutions.
