Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki strengthens and enriches our community through art and ideas. As a bi-cultural organisation, we make a major contribution to the cultural life of Auckland and Aotearoa New Zealand by collaborating with communities to offer inspiring art experiences that engage and challenge diverse audiences. Established in 1888, the Gallery holds important collections of New Zealand and international art and presents a dynamic programme of temporary exhibitions, public programmes, and educational services.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced event coordinator to successfully organize and deliver events at the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki.

This role is responsible for maximising major revenue streams through the support of the Advancement Team as well as venue hire, and for development, scheduling, production, and delivery of internally and externally generated events to highest standards.

He kōrero mōu: About you

As the Venue Hire and Events Coordinator, you will bring excellent event management experience as well as strong communication and people skills. You will be able to work collaboratively and effectively across the Gallery and with external clients and stakeholders to ensure sound accountability and delivery of events. You will be a well-organized project manager with the ability to manage budgets, staff and suppliers/vendors relationships. Comfort working with databases and eDM software are essential.
