Northart is looking for a new team member for the role of Gallery Assistant.
This position is part time, four days per week, with extra hours time-to-time for events including weekday and weekend shifts. It is sole charge at times.
The Gallery Assistant role is a varied and exciting opportunity best suited to a person with a background in art history or visual arts. It is a key support role that encompasses front of house responsibilities, exhibition installation, gallery cleaning and administration including the co-ordination of volunteers and the gallery website. We are a small team at Northart -this role is an interesting mix of pratical, hands on work and administrative tasks. Our ideal candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, be well organised, with willingness to learn and a can-do attitude.
Northart honours the bi-cultural agreement of the Treaty of Waitangi and its principles of partnership, participation and protection. This is a permanent part-time position offering 24 hours per week with occassional additional hours. We can offer an immediate start to the right candidate.
