RNZ Concert is looking for vibrant, engaging and skilled Radio Presenters to create a musical oasis, a destination where all are welcome to escape the troubles of the world and enjoy a rich musical landscape. Looking for authentic people who will champion our music and radio station.
The RNZ Concert Breakfast Host offers listeners good company and an uplifting start to their day, communes over coffee, joins them on their journeys, and soundtracks their activities until morning teatime.
The RNZ Concert Drive Host accompanies listeners wrapping up the day's tasks and heading indoors following the school run, the day's work or other adventures. Your bright and breezy show is ideal for the young and young at heart as an antidote to road rage and a delightful soundtrack for meal prep and other household tasks, as we wind down towards the day's end.
You will work closely with a Producer to deliver great live music radio from 6 -10am for Breakfast or 3-7pm for Drive, Monday to Friday, with planning, preparation and other tasks taking place outside of those hours.
These rare opportunities see you supporting our music playlist with interesting, relevant voice breaks, music features, interviews and other activities designed to entertain current and new audiences.

Skills and experience

We're looking for people with the following skills:
- Broadcast, performance or other one-to-one speaking or presentation experience
- Radio presentation or similar one-to-one conversational communication expertise
- Accurate pronunciation
- Good research skills, interviewing and/or reporting experience
- A broadcasting or music qualification an advantage
We welcome applicants with connections to cultures and communities with an interest in classical music who we could better serve.

RNZ Concert is the public radio station dedicated to sharing great classical music (and beyond) with people across Aotearoa. As well as offering lovingly curated and presented art music from the first century AD to today, we are a music arts amplifier, gathering and showcasing work by New Zealand musicians, composers, organisations and communities here and across the world. Our unique music recording team is internationally respected. We are a tight-knit, passionate team keen to welcome people who will help us move the motu (country) with music.
These roles can be based in Auckland or Wellington.
