Bring your creativity to this exciting Graphic Design Role

Permanent, part time position - 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

MTG Hawke's Bay is the region's premier arts and culture facility and is one of the Council's most popular visitor experiences. The museum has an exciting programme of changing exhibitions and events and also incorporates the Century Theatre and education programmes.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Graphic Designer with a passion for exploring and implementing visual concepts - someone who can listen to and interpret ideas and turn them into high quality graphic design. Energy and innovation are a must, as are excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a changing environment.

This role is responsible for providing creative and high quality graphic design services for all MTG needs including; exhibitions and publications, PR and marketing, public programmes and education, retail and commercial, wayfinding, signage andvisual brand identity.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • A qualification in Graphic Design and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience across multiple media design and development tools
  • A strong end-user focus
  • Experience installing a range of graphic design media
  • The ability to work flexibly, juggle projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork
