Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage
Communications Adviser/Senior Communications Adviser – Going Digital
Full time – Fixed term - Wellington
- High profile campaign.
- Media focus.
Going Digital is the biggest thing to happen to television in New Zealand since the introduction of colour back in the 70s, so it’s no wonder the media are excited about it.
Going Digital is the government information campaign informing New Zealanders about the change to digital television. Our mission is to make sure that every TV owner knows how to go digital. We are doing this through a high profile advertising campaign, the outreach work of a regionally-based team, and consistent media presence.
To ensure that Going Digital’s communications are on-message, on-strategy, on-budget and on-time, we are looking for a communications all-rounder with solid media experience to make his or her mark on a high profile campaign.
Working in a small, busy team, you’ll bring your proven ability to drive proactive media and stakeholder communications to get consistently high levels of coverage in national, regional and local media. You’ll need to be able to spot opportunities, work well under deadline pressure, and stay anchored to agreed messaging at all times.
You’ll also be involved in other aspects of our communications and community outreach activity as required.
This is a role for a high performer with energy, enthusiasm and a get-it-done attitude.
Proven ability to drive proactive media and stakeholder communications to get consistently high levels of coverage in national, regional and local media
