Destination Fiordland is the Regional Tourism Organisation for the Fiordland area providing promotion on behalf of tourism businesses within the Fiordland region. Venture Southland implements the annual promotional programme and acts as employer.
Venture Southland is seeking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated team player who will be comfortable working in a busy small office environment in Te Anau - sometimes sole charge. If you have a passion for Fiordland and Southland and would like to assist in promoting the area, then we'd like to hear from you.
You can expect to be involved in working with local tourism operators, media liaison, campaign implementation, dealing with general destination management issues and administrative duties. You will be promoting Fiordland and Southland, and its tourism products, both within New Zealand and overseas.
A tertiary qualification in the marketing and/or tourism fields is desirable but should not preclude those with relevant experience from applying. A driver's licence and Microsoft Office product skills are essential. The position is full-time and the ability to undertake some after hours and weekend work will be required from time-to-time.
Responsibilities and remuneration for the successful applicant will be relevant to qualification, experience and aptitude. The Co-ordinator will report to the Destination Fiordland Manager.
