The New Zealand Dance Advancement Trust seeks high quality applicants for a contract position as NZDC’s Marketing & Communications Coordinator for 2013.
NZDC is a vibrant new arts company funded at Kahikatea level by Creative New Zealand. Our vision is to create a sustainable, permanent, high-calibre dance company, with an Auckland home that contributes to the fabric of NZ culture and is dedicated to NZ’s finest contemporary dance practitioners.
Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with the artistic and management/administrative teams, you will maintain and develop audiences for NZDC’s activities and uphold the brand profile and image, by implementing NZDC’s audience development strategy and marketing and publicity plans, delivering internal and external communications (including website, email marketing and social media channels) and liaising with marketing suppliers and stakeholders.
This role will contribute to the realisation of NZDC’s artistic vision, business and strategic plan to grow the artform, audience and infrastructure for contemporary dance in Aotearoa. In 2013, this includes two Auckland seasons of work, a North Island Tour plus associated activities, ranging from fundraising events, professional workshops to education/youth engagement initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to a new NZ arts company. You will have a passion for the arts, tertiary qualification in marketing and/or communications with at least two years’ experience in a relevant role, a ‘can do’ attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoy a collaborative, energetic and professional environment.
