Situated on the Otago Central Rail Trail, Hayes Engineering Works needs a cook/chef for their busy cafe.  Reporting to the Property Manager and supported by our friendly staff, your job is to supply delicious lunches, snacks and exceptional coffee to tired cyclists and holiday-makers.  Our cafe experience ensures visitors to our heritage site leave feeling refreshed and impressed with our hospitality.

The suitable applicant will have training and experience in the cafe-restaurant industry and will be a hands-on practical operator.  The role inlcudes all facets of cafe operations and may from time to time require some Visitor Host duties.

This is a full time, forty hour per week position, and will require some weekend work.  The ability to work as part of a team to ensure great customer service in a small facility is essential.

If required, assistance will be given to help find accommodation.
