Editor Internship Programme
Editing is the rewarding and creative activity at the core of film and television production.
Broadcast & Film New Zealand offers a 3 weeks editor internship to a top student who has completed one week editing workshop with us.
The editing workshop starts on 18th November 2013 from 09.00- 4.30 pm and it runs for a week.
The course fee is $ 550. If you bring your own MacBook Pro the course fee is $ 450.
One week course is an intensive course designed to familiarize students with all the skills necessary to work with Final Cut Pro and understanding story. In keeping with the New Zealand Film and Television standards, students enrolled in the Editing Workshop and Story Theory will find themselves in front of a workstation from day one.
A three weeks internship will be offered to the top student.
What does this course offer?
1. Understanding of story telling
2. Develop skills of current editing technology
3. Introduction to Final Cut Pro7
4. Digitising and logging
5. Creating a rough cut
6. Sound mix, colorgrading, graphics and fine cut
7. Understanding of Output formats with Compressor
8. Changing Motion Properties and applying Filters
9. Working with Red footage
Students enrolled in our 1 week Editing Workshop at our location will have individual hands-on use of a Final Cut Pro editing system, installed on a MacBook Pro.
By the end of the course, students will have completed 3 projects which can be used for showreel. Students will edit a music video shot on Red Epic camera and 2 web video advertising.
Students also delve intoMotion and Filters controls as a tool for adding effects to both video and film productions.
All the students will have access to our extended online digital library and a comprehensive list of the books will be provided.
