We are seeking a junior - mid-level Research Analyst to work in our expanding New Zealand office. The role is Auckland-based but the successful applicant will be required to undertake a 3 month training programme at our head office in Manchester, UK.

We are a consultancy working exclusively in the arts and cultural sector - experience of working in this sector is not essential but will be viewed favourably in your application. Please contact us for a full position description:

Location:- New Zealand Office (Auckland)

Reporting to:- Head of NZ office

Job Purpose:- Research design, analysis and reporting. Manage the successful delivery of projects.

Main Duties: To:- 1. Set up databases/scripts for data processing of paper questionnaires, online surveys and CATI surveys;

2. Carry out data validation and quality control checks;

3. Data output;

4. Analyse, interpret and report on quantitative data. This includes producing reports and other outputs (eg client presentations);

The successful candidate will:-

1. Be highly intelligent – graduate calibre;

2. Have excellent written and spoken communication skills as well as a highly professional manner;

3. Be a highly organised ‘completer-finisher’ with strong attention to detail;

4. Work effectively as part of a team towards a common goal;

5. Have experience of working full time in Market Research;

6. Have an interest in the Arts, Culture and Performing Arts;

7. Be prepared to work abroad to help conduct our international business as and when required. Essential Skills

8. Experience of working directly with survey analysis or data collection software e.g. SPSS, SNAP or NEBU;

9. Be able to work accurately and quickly under pressure;

10. Be able to adapt and respond to unexpected changes in project specifications, deadlines and deliverables;

11. Be experienced in analysing primary and secondary data, identifying the salient issues

12. Be able to explain and present complex issues in an accessible way, communicating effectively to various audiences;

13. Be able to manage his/her own time;

14. Have a flexible approach to work and be prepared to take on a range of tasks and responsibilities;

15. Have a very good working knowledge of the MS Office suite, including Access or other database software. Experience Which Would Be Useful

16. Experience of quantitative data collection, validation and analysis techniques;

17. Experience of dealing directly with clients in an agency environment;

18. Possess web language/design skills (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Flash, SQL).
