In 2010 - 2011,The Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamāki is offering a paid internship which offers training and work experience for a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 3 months, to undertake one of the following projects

a conservation project that focuses on the examination and treatment of an important C 15th panel painting St Anne, Mother of the Virgin by the Girard Master as part of the preparation for an exhibition of both historic and contemporary paintings

or:

a research library project to document for Vernon, photograph and condition report the material in the John Weeks Archive.

or:

a mutually beneficial independent project submitted by an applicant working within the art museum sector

The Marylyn Mayo Internship is aimed at assisting with the career of :

a postgraduate or recent graduate student who intends to pursue a career in art galleries in the areas of conservation or the care and management of collections

or to:

a person currently employed in an art gallery or museum, or who has had some relevant experience in the areas of conservation or the care and management of collections and has an ongoing commitment to working in one of these areas.
