Rage and the Machine

Rage and the Machine | Exhibition Opening

Rage and the Machine is a series of portraits exploring the intersection of technology and feminine rage. Through AI-generated and digitally enhanced images of women, the work reframes rage as a valid and necessary emotional response to systemic injustice and societal expectation.

The series begins with AI-generated imagery, used as both a creative tool and a critical lens to examine how emerging technologies reflect and distort social realities. These compositions are then digitally reworked and translated into large-scale paintings, resulting in striking, immersive portraits that demand a physical, in-person encounter.

The works hold both intensity and resilience, embracing anger not as something to suppress, but as a catalyst for transformation. Rage and the Machine is an urgent call to recognise feminine rage as a legitimate and powerful force, one that can be transmuted into creation, healing, and social change.

The opening event continues Naomi’s tradition of creating vibrant, welcoming exhibition spaces, featuring strictly vinyl DJ sets, along with drinks generously sponsored by Hallertau and light refreshments.

All are welcome.
