We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and relationship-driven Funding & Partnerships Manager to join our small dedicated team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the Trust’s future by securing the financial resources and partnerships that enable our festivals to thrive. The Funding & Partnerships Manager will lead fundraising, grant making and sponsorship initiatives, and manage stakeholder and partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue and Funding Generation
- Work with the General Manager to develop a Fundraising and Event Revenue Generation strategy
- Lead comprehensive fundraising initiatives, including sponsorships, grants, and donations
Donors and memberships
- Build and sustain key member and donor relationships to maximise member and donor retention and renewal rates
- Identify and approach potential philanthropists, donors, members and private trusts
- Manage donor and member relationships throughout festival cycles.
Sponsorships
- Approach established and new sponsors to win their support for SLAFT and its events
- Manage sponsorship database, contracts, billing and contractual obligations
- Manage and maintain on-going relationships with key sponsors and partners.
Grants
- Develop and maintain a Grant calendar.
- Research and cultivate new grant opportunities
- Manage grant-making cycle, including granting writing, submission, contracting, acknowledgement and reporting for all grantors
What We're Looking For
- Strong fundraising and revenue generation experience
- Communications expertise
- A track record of successful planning and implementation
- Stakeholder relationship skills
- Passion for arts and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership
Preference will be given to candidates based in the Upper Clutha, Central Lakes and Southern Lakes regions.
