Call for Proposals: Expression of Interest

Creative Puketapapa supports local artists, creative groups and community-led arts and events across the Puketapapa Local Board area. This involves having an Arts and Events Broker whose role is to enable community arts activities and help grow accessible, locally-led arts and events. 

What kind of ideas are we looking for?

- Strong creative ideas that are community led and/or place-based.

- Projects need to either be led by a local Puketāpapa artist or have strong impact to the local Puketāpapa community.

- Projects can be across any arts discipline (visual art, dance, theatre, music, film, kapa haka, weaving poetry etc). 

- Projects can be at any stage including workshops, wananga or cultural events, exhibitions or festivals.

What support is available?

We can support you in different ways, depending on your idea. This might include:

- Funding support

- Help developing your idea

- Connecting you with people, spaces or partners

- Advice on delivery, promotion or next steps

Not every project will receive funding, but we’re keen to support good ideas in different ways.

What we're looking for?

We’re especially interested in projects that:

- Are led by people from Puketāpapa Local Area

- Involve and connect local Puketāpapa communities

- Reflect the the cultural richness and diversity of our area particularly mana whenua and migrant communities.

- Projects that tell the stories of our local environment and local communities.

- Have a strong creative idea at the centre
